It's been five years since Colton Maxwell left Sebastian behind to go on a quick adventure. He was a treasure hunter back then, before the big accident that injured his leg and left him in the hospital for months. And before he found out that Sebastian never wanted to talk to him again...

Tarot reader Sebastian Belle couldn't believe it when Colton left for a job and then never came back. And it got even worse when he found out he was pregnant, and Colton's family tried to pay him off to never contact them again. Heartbroken, he tucked that stupid check away as a reminder that he was alone in having and raising his baby girl, Abby.

Which is fine, until Colton and his ghost hunting TV show end up in Sebastian's haunted mining town house, disrupting his whole life. Then Sebastian and Colton have to separate the truth from the lies, figure out why the ghosts are suddenly so darn active in Sebastian's house, and get to know each other all over again. All the while dealing with Colton's family, a huge crew of well-meaning friends, and the echoes of a century-old murder. Can they make it all work, or is their treasured relationship lost forever?
